Media Literacy Is the Most Valuable Literacy of the Day
The secretary general of the media management and media literacy development club of UNESCO in Iran mentioned: “Media literacy is the most valuable literacy of the day. Improving one’s analytical skills will result in a more competent mind with regard to discerning fake news from the truth. In fact, all the news that you consume through cellphones, TVs, or social media apps are an amalgam of contents in various forms. The vast extent of the virtual space necessitates learning media literacy. We are all within this global media atmosphere whether we want it or not. The environment around us is brimming with information. Therefore, we all need to improve our media literacy.”
It is worth noting that this workshop was held in Persian and in English for Persian speakers and non-Persian speakers.
