Yalda Night Ceremony at Ahlul Bayt International University

The ceremony of Iranian Yalda Night was held with the presence of the deputies and students of Ahlul Bayt International University.

According to the public affairs department of Ahlul Bayt International University, this celebration was held in the evening of Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in the conference hall of the university with the enthusiastic participation of students.

This ceremony was accompanied by various programs such as: live traditional music performance, traditional Iranian singing competition, Afghan student’s poetry reading with the theme of Yalda and Ghazal reciting competition.

In another part of this ceremony, Dr. Aghajani, professor of the university’s anthropology department, pointed out the importance of festivals and ceremonies in ancient Iran, and investigated the effect of these rituals on the empathy and affinity of the current Iranian society.

Also, at the end of the ceremony, the best participants of Hazrat Zahra’s (AS) sermon competition were honored.
