Description of Duties and Authorities:
- Providing consultancy services in legal, criminal, and registration matters to all university units.
- Defending the rights, interests, and benefits of the university in courts and various authorities, and coordinating legal positions, emphasizing legal principles and norms.
- Protecting the university’s interests through the fulfillment of legal duties and responsibilities stipulated in the administrative, employment, financial, and transactional regulations, as well as other current laws and regulations of the country, for the esteemed presidency of the university and the managers of its affiliated units.
- Taking necessary measures and decisions in carrying out appropriate legal actions to study and preserve the interests and benefits of the university.
- Initiating and pursuing lawsuits against natural and legal persons.
- Defending the university’s rights in lawsuits filed against or by it, performing the duties of representing the university in all legal matters.
- Participating in drafting lease and rental contracts regarding properties and real estate.
- Initiating and pursuing lawsuits and taking any legal actions to secure the interests and observe the benefits of the university regarding properties and real estate.
- Defending the rights and interests of the university in lawsuits and claims related to properties and real estate.
- Following up on relevant rulings and executive orders by referring to registration offices, law enforcement, judiciary, official document offices, institutions, organizations, governmental and public entities, natural and legal persons.
- Drafting various necessary commitments and guarantees for the university and taking related actions to achieve results.
- Acting as the legal representative of the university in judicial, administrative, and governmental bodies and organizations.
- Initiating and pursuing lawsuits against natural and legal persons arising from university contracts. 14. Filing criminal and legal lawsuits against natural and legal persons and defending the rights, interests, and benefits of the university in lawsuits filed against the university.
- Defending the rights and interests of the university in lawsuits filed against the university in administrative courts.
- Defending the rights and interests of the university in lawsuits filed against the university in arbitration bodies and committees, as well as resolving disputes in labor and social security organizations regarding legal matters.

All executive affairs of the recruitment, such as announcing the public call for recruitment, accepting the request for cooperation, filing the case, responding to the applicants, etc.… will be done by the recruitment secretariat.
- Identify and determine the needs of attracting faculty members in educational and research groups

The call for recruitment of faculty members will be done once a year through the system and in September and February through the website of the Ministry of Science. The timing of the absorption steps is as follows:
- Receiving and collecting applicants’ requests
- Preliminary review of applicants’ files with the opinion of the recruitment executive board
- Compile and complete the file for applicants with basic conditions and send it to the committees for reviewing scientific abilities and general competence
- The result of the study of general and scientific competence in the university
- Deciding on the executive board of the university
- Sending a summary of the files of applicants who have been approved by the University Admissions Executive Board to the Secretariat of the Central Admissions Board of the Ministry of Science
- Adoption of the final decision by the Central Board of the Ministry of Science
- Announcement of the final result by the university to the applicant
