Planning for Introducing the University at International Levels
The Office of Scientific and International Collaborations was established with the aim of strengthening the university’s academic and international reputation. The main mission of this department is to internationalize the university’s activities and programs, enhance international collaborations, and utilize existing capacities in other countries. The management of international scientific collaborations at the university is responsible for organizing and pursuing international relations, establishing connections with other universities, institutes, research centers, and regional and international specialized organizations, handling matters related to the scientific and official foreign trips of faculty members and university representatives, preparing cooperation agreements for scientific research with foreign universities and educational institutions, and taking necessary actions for inviting foreign guests, participating in organizing workshops and training courses, seminars, and international conferences, as well as handling matters related to scholarships and study opportunities.
List of Cooperation Agreements Validity of International University of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) Degrees Degrees issued by the university are recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the university’s name is listed in the Persian and English lists of non-profit universities on the ministry’s website. Additionally, the university’s degree is recognized in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, etc., and the legal recognition process in Iraq and Nigeria is ongoing.
Description of Duties of the Office of International Scientific Collaborations Preparing university introduction brochures and ID cards for the International Vice-Presidency in collaboration with Public Relations. Participating in international conferences and exhibitions to introduce the university and create a suitable environment for student recruitment. Regularly reviewing the conditions of countries and their universities scientifically and legally to identify potential countries and universities for mutual cooperation and ultimately creating the necessary grounds for establishing connections and recruiting students. Handling matters related to signing agreements with other universities, preparing and drafting contracts, agreements, protocols, and memorandums of understanding, and regularly following up on the provisions of signed agreements with other universities. Planning and following up on all matters regarding official visits of university officials to foreign countries for signing agreements, attending conferences, or resolving the university’s legal issues in other countries and ultimately preparing related reports. Planning official meetings and visits of foreign invitees with the university’s board of directors and president in the context of signing agreements or resolving the university’s legal issues in other countries along with preparing reports.

Description of Duties and Authorities In line with the goals of the International University of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), the management of recruitment and admission of non-Iranian students, with the aim of nurturing talent at the graduate level, accepts elite students from among young non-Iranian Muslims according to the university’s approved regulations. Applicants can register throughout the year according to the guidelines available on the website for one of the two entry terms, September or February. The applications submitted in the university’s comprehensive system will be reviewed by the International Affairs Office within one month, and the admission results will be announced to the applicants in the form of three types of scholarships: A, B, and C.

The applicant should first read the registration guide carefully and then register on the university portal.
step2) Register on the university portal
The applicant should first register by visiting the university registration portal at admission.abu.ac.ir. Then, with the specified username and password, upload their educational documents on the university portal at ams.abu.ac.ir.
After completing the above steps, a tracking code will be assigned to the applicant who should send the tracking code with their personal mobile number via WhatsApp (+989101915801) to the university admission management.
Point 1: Applicants are strongly recommended to read the registration guide carefully and then start registering.
Point 2: Accepted students will be admitted to the University only if they present their certified educational documents by the Iranian Embassy and their home country’s ministry of science and higher education.
Point 3: The university does not receive any money from applicants for initial registration on the university portal.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree:
If the applicant is about to graduate from a bachelor’s program, they may submit a certificate of enrollment from their current university and a transcript of the courses they have completed. Temporary registration will be permitted. However, presenting the official and certified academic documents from the relevant institutions is mandatory upon arrival at the university.
- Maximum Age:
The maximum age is 28 years. Applicants older than 28 will not be eligible for Scholarship Type A.
- Marital Status:
Single applicants. Married students can apply, but the university does not commit to providing family housing.
- Mental and Physical Health:
Applicants must be in good mental and physical health.
- No Previous Scholarship in a Similar Degree Program:
Applicants must not have previously studied with a scholarship for a master’s degree at any Iranian university. If they have, admission will only be possible on a tuition-paying basis.
- Relevance of Undergraduate Degree:
The undergraduate degree should closely match the chosen field of study for the master’s program.
The admission of students will be conducted as follows:
- Initial Review:
Applicants who do not meet the minimum required score in the initial review will receive a message informing them of their rejection from the university.
- Further Evaluation:
Applicants who meet the minimum entry score in the initial review will have their final results and scholarship type announced one month after submitting their documents. Accepted applicants will be categorized into three groups:
A) Full Scholarship: Covers all tuition fees, accommodation, and meals for the duration of the study program.
B) Partial Scholarship: Covers tuition fees. The student is responsible for accommodation and meal costs, which will be communicated after approval by the university’s board of trustees.
C) Tuition-Paying: The student is responsible for all tuition, accommodation, and meal costs, which will be communicated after approval by the university’s board of trustees.
All accepted applicants, regardless of the scholarship type, must deposit $100 to the university’s account to confirm their registration. Failure to deposit this amount will result in the non-issuance of a student visa.
Important Notices Unfortunately, some individuals have misused the name of Ahl al-Bayt International University, presenting themselves as representatives of the university and promising guaranteed admission in exchange for registration fees. We hereby inform all applicants that Ahl al-Bayt International University does not charge any fees for initial registration. To facilitate the registration process, applicants can register directly and without intermediaries using their personal mobile phones.
- A referee is not required for registration. Applicants can register at the university without having a referee.
- The university does not conduct entrance exams. The selection criterion is the student’s resume (CV). Therefore, it is recommended that all necessary documents, along with a video file introducing the student, be completed thoroughly and according to the registration guide.
- Since the final admission of applicants to the university is conditional on presenting their academic documents and transcripts certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in their country, applicants are strongly advised to take necessary measures in this regard. Applicants who registered in previous years and were not admitted for any reason must re-register for the new academic year.
- Course titles and syllabuses are available on the university’s website.
- In case of incomplete documents, low-quality submissions, or incomplete registration processes, the applicant’s file will not be evaluated.
- Students who have not yet graduated at the time of registration must submit a certificate of enrollment and a transcript of the courses they have completed.
- Note that the closer the match between the undergraduate major and the chosen field at Ahl al-Bayt University, the more it will positively impact the final admission.
- Non-Persian-speaking students will undergo a seven-month Persian language course before starting their chosen program. The approximate start date for the Persian language classes for the February intake is June 22, and for the September intake is December 22.

Do I need to register on the Saorg website of the Ministry of Science of Iran for registration?
Previously, students also registered on the Ministry of Science website. However, due to limitations and numerous problems faced by applicants, it was decided that from now on, students should only register on the Ahlul Bayt University website, and the registration process on the Ministry of Science website should be handled by the university.
Is having a passport mandatory for registration?
Having a passport with at least one year validity remaining at the time of registration is mandatory.
Are transcripts necessary for initial registration on the website?
Since one of the criteria for admitting students is the grades obtained in each course, having transcripts is essential. If the student has not graduated at the time of registration on the university website, they must upload transcripts of courses taken up to that time.
Can Sunni Muslims also register at the university?
The university accepts Muslim applicants, so Sunni Muslims can also register at the university.
I haven’t graduated yet. Can I still register at the university?
During registration, the student must submit the original bachelor’s degree certificate and verified transcripts by the Iranian embassy to the university. If for any reason they cannot upload these documents during initial registration on the university website, they can upload a temporary certificate of completion and their transcripts, then present the verified original documents when in Iran.
Does Ahlul Bayt University cover travel expenses for students?
Students are responsible for covering their own travel expenses (both airfare and ground transportation).
My desired field of study for Master’s is different from my Bachelor’s degree field. Can I still register?
Maximum alignment between the Bachelor’s and desired Master’s field significantly increases student acceptance rates. However, discrepancies between these fields do not create a problem for applicant registration. For example, a student who studied English language in their undergraduate program can register in International Relations for their Master’s.
I am older than the university’s maximum age limit (28 years). Can I still register?
The age limit is a requirement for scholarship applicants at the university. If the applicant does not meet the age criteria, they can register as a self-funded student (paying tuition).
How are registration results and student visas communicated?
Results are announced on the university’s website and Telegram channel. If accepted, the student’s study visa will be sent to the same Telegram number used for initial registration confirmation.
I don’t have a referral. Can I still register at the university?
Applicants can register at the university with or without a referral.
If I cannot come to the university after the acceptance results are announced, will my name remain on the next enrollment reserve list?
If, for any reason, a student cannot complete their in-person registration at the university after receiving their study visa, they will be removed from the acceptance list for that session and will be deprived of re-registration at the university for one year.
Do I need to submit my documents to the Iranian Embassy for initial registration on the website?
Initial registration on the university’s website does not require documents to be certified by the Iranian Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Students must verify their documents upon final acceptance and during their in-person visit to the university.
